Stemming from two major factors – lack of affordability and the severe lack of health consciousness, healthcare is one of the biggest challenges confronted by the underserved communities in Bangladesh. Out- of-pocket and unplanned expenditure on healthcare make treatment expensive, delayed and compromised.
Keeping accessibility, quality and affordability at the center of our solution, Spreeha brings in Sneho Urgent Care which caters to the “urgent” medical needs of communities. The solution offers doctor consultation, pharmacy facility, ultrasonogram, diagnostic facilities, and health awareness under one umbrella of community healthcare center in Rayerbazar, Dhaka.
In alignment with SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing and SDG 5: Gender Equality, the project focuses on both clinical and non-clinical health, maternal and child health, general treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases, safe medication, family planning, malnutrition, and diagnostic facilities at affordable cost. Furthermore, Spreeha puts special emphasis on health awareness through a strong network of skilled Community Health Workers (CHW). They conduct various educational sessions and health campaigns that advocate healthy practices within the community – creating a pathway to encourage behavioral change on the go.
