Our Approach
Empowering People with Human Centered Design
We use Human-Centered Design (HCD) to identify & understand human problems, create relevant solutions and deliver them in a sustainable way. We blend values of non-profit, power of digital technology & practices of commercial organizations.
Governance
The governance of Spreeha is democratic, collective and rule-based. The Board of Trustees, the highest decision-making body, meets four times a year and conducts one Annual General Meeting (AGM) to provide strategic direction to the management.
The Board of Trustees formed a Management and Implementation Committee (MIC) in its meeting held in December 2020. The MIC is led by the Executive Director & comprises of focal persons representing relevant departments. As the second layer of decision-making body of the organisation, the MIC meets every month to review the ongoing activities of Spreeha.

Mahmud Hossain
Chair
Mahmud Hossain was the former Chief Business Officer and part of the executive management at Grameenphone, the largest mobile operator in Bangladesh. He has 30+ years of experience with 17 years in C-level leadership positions in large and reputed corporations. Mr. Mahmud joined Spreeha in the same vein to try and bring in some positive changes in the lives of the underserved.
Iqbal Habib
Vice Chair
Iqbal Habib has been practicing as an Architect and Managing Director of Architectural design atelier, VITTI Sthapati Brindo Ltd. in Dhaka, Bangladesh for over two decades with the vision to promote responsible architecture for the society and environment.
Tazin Shadid
Founder & Advisor
Tazin Shadid founded Spreeha in 2011. He has more than 16 years’ experience in technology and product development including 10 years at Microsoft HQ in USA. He is the founder of multiple award- winning startups.

Muhammad Abdul Mabud works as Chief Executive Officer of Bangla Trac Communications Limited, a company providing range of voice and data services for both local and international market.

Tamzid Siddiq Spondon is an entrepreneur, communication expert, planner, organizer and activist. He is the Founder and Managing Director of ZANALA Bangladesh Ltd., ZANALA Systems Ltd, Base Camp Bangladesh Ltd. and Director of Beshto.com Ltd.

Mr. Irfan Islam is a Tech-Entrepreneur associated with tech-startups in multiple vertical. He is the Co-founder of CYE Retail tech, a retail tech start-up. Besides he also a Director of Misfit Technologies, Principal Advisor of I-Farmer, & Advisor to Alice Labs (PTE) Ltd. Currently he is also a Board Member of Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation.
Ajoy Kumar Bose

Ajoy Kumar Bose has 30+ years of experience in Institutional Governance, Compliance, Institutional Policies, Audit, Copyright, Patent and Trademark, Resource Mobilization, Project/ Program Design & Management, Operations, and Service Design for both non-profit and for- profit entities. He is the Co-founder of Dnet; one of the specialized organizations on ICT4D in Bangladesh. In Dnet, he was engaged in the development of innovative models like Pallitahya, Computer Literacy Center & Smart Classroom in secondary schools etc. The Pallitahya and Computer Literacy Center programs which Mr. Ajoy developed, received international awards in 2005 and 2009 respectively.

Asgar Ali Sabri brings in with him more than 35 years of diverse experience of working with international development organizations with strong strategic leadership skills in directing program staff as well as mobilizing Civil Society Organizations/platforms towards alternative development initiatives, facilitation skills in creating linkage and collaboration across the country and region on common issues of concerns, critical engagement skills with the government and fundraising and relationship-building skills with donors.
Dr. Rubaiya Ali

Dr. Rubaiya Ali obtained her MBBS from Chittagong Medical College and her Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology from the Bangladesh Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). She then completed her Fellowship in Dermatology and Venereology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). Currently, she is a Board Member of the Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation.

Muhammed Anisul Kabir Jasir is an NRB from New York, USA. He has more than 35 years of experience in fundraising for Non-profit organizations in Bangladesh & USA.
Farha Sharmin
Joint Director
As Joint Director, Ms. Farha Sharmin leads Spreeha’s programs and development. She brings in more than 15 years of experience in diversified non-profit field including 12 years exclusively in project management. Her core expertise and strength lie in the areas of project design and management, strategic communication with stakeholders and government, institutional strengthening through capacity building, and team management. She also extends her expertise in SRHR, women empowerment and social business for development.
Dr. Shazzat Rahat Hossain
General Manager
Dr. Shazzat Rahat Hossain leads the Health Development Programs of Spreeha. After graduating as a physician from Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, he has built his career as a Public Health Specialist concentrating on Epidemiology. With 8 years of experience, he has expertise on healthcare research, communication, project management & financing, and business development in healthcare. He is also a passionate musician and national level sports commentator.

Rozana Hafiz looks after the Partnership and fundraising team of Spreeha. She has 18+ years of experience in communication, customer service, public relation, partnership and fundraising.
Halima Tus Sadia
Asst. General Manager
Halima-Tus-Sadia leads the Research, Innovation, and Grants Department of Spreeha. She combines the gender lens with human-centered design approach in research and program development, coordinates new ideas to source funds from donors, and manages innovation for better impact. She has completed her post-graduation in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Dhaka. She extends her interest in adolescent development, youth engagement, and women
Md. Mahabubur Rahman
Asst. General Manager
Md. Mahabubur Rahman leads the Accounts & Finance department of Spreeha. He has 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, administrative, project development, planning & analysis within both national & international organizations. Having a Masters degree in Accounting along with CACC, Mr. Mahabubur is skilled in project & program budgeting, planning, developing, monitoring & reporting focused on minimizing risk and ensuring effective & efficient operations of the organization.
Mahjabin Islam Noimy
Asst. General Manager
Mahjabin Islam Noimy leads the HR & Admin department of Spreeha. After completing BBA, she had PGD and MBA concentrating in HRM. She has 6+ years of experience in recruitment, performance management, training, procurement, and office management.
